About JPA
In 2004, thirteen Jungian analysts founded the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association (JPA), certified by the International Association for Analytical Psychology. Our community, based in NYC, now consists of over 45 local and international analyst members including a growing number of JPA graduates, and 25 analysts-in-training. Our members teach, lecture, lead seminars and workshops, participate in national and international conferences, and are highly regarded and widely published in both professional and public domains.
The JPA follows the trajectory of C. G. Jung’s work as a theory of psychodynamics and the basis for effective analytic practice. Our mission is to cultivate the continuing education and professional competence of its members, to present programs and research that bring the creative understanding and applications of Jungian psychology in their contemporary conceptions to the larger professional, artistic, political, cultural, and scientific communities, to sponsor professional conferences, facilitate access to Jungian analysis through a referral service, and to train the next generation for professional licensure and international recognition as certified Jungian analysts.
The JPA is a Section 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization Chartered by the State of New York.
